Using Mac for the first time is hard, only for the first week. In fact, it is a great machine to graphics and making some videos. Yes, there is many programs that help you to use Mac. What I love in Mac, the way how they design this laptop, how they program an operating system to fit with anyone. I used ubtuntu, you can say they are the same, but you can’t enjoy the high resolution from the monitor. They care about all tiny details that do not let feel sorry to buy this laptop.

After 10 years of using PC, I have to say it: I love you both, MAC and PC. Its hard to leave PC because Mac still do not support Arabic language like PC. I’m using MAC for graphics and videos editing, and PC to for .. everything else.

In previous weeks, I was looking to many reviews about MacBook Pro and the new iMac 27. I’m still kinda lost which one to choose, Macbook Pro 15 for 2399$ or iMac 27″ for 2399$. I’m thinking in Macbook Pro to help me in college, but I hate laptops a lot, because of my previous experience with Acer. I am a PC user for a long time, and I tried Mac for one time only.

So, which one is the best for me. iMac comes with Quad-Core 2.8 GHz i7 Intel Processor, 8GB Ram, and 1TB drive. I know these specifications can rock my graphics world, but there is something hidden which is shipping cost to Kuwait. It will cost me approximately around 80 to 100kd with DHL. In fact, I’m afraid of facing problems with iMac. Many people are facing a Flickering Screen problem with their iMacs.

I don’t know if Apple solve this problem or not, but I think I won’t buy something big from outside Kuwait, because if this happen here in Kuwait, I can easily take my iMac to the retailer and break it on salesman head. A friend of mine and twitter follow Hussaindo, recommended to order Macbook Pro, but even I hate laptops keyboards It doesn’t come with Arabic keyboard which will costs me around 70 to 90kd to replace the keyboard to Arabic one. In fact, I can resell this Macbook Pro easily if I won’t like Mac or to buy iMac.

So, which one you will take?

I went today to iCity to check the iMacs prices. The prices starting from 450 for 20inch to 875kd for 24inch. All the speces are the same as shown on Apple store, except one cutomized 24inch for 645kd and they only decrease the RAM from 4gb to 2gb and the hard drive from 1TB to 5oogb with the same 3.06GHz processor. I am not sure 100% from how many types they have and what is the exact prices for each one, but I am sure of the 24inch types because I am looking for one.

My friend just send me a link about a new laptop called Praxis Slim Air. Its look good, and very thin. It comes with 1gb of memory and 160gb hard drive with 12inch display. But, I think the 1.6 Intel Atom Processor a disadvantage in this MacBook Air cheap copy.  It will cost you 586$ in October.

Now, you can buy this new HP’s baby for 400$(115kd) with great specs. It comes in two colors: black and white.  1.60GHz Intel Atom Processor, 1GB DDR3 Memory (RAM), 160gb Hard drive, and 11.6″ HD LED Wide-screen Display. This is a great deal for this small baby. (LINK)

A new laptop with amazing price and specs. The new ASUS’s baby called UL30A. It comes with 500gb hard drive, 4gb RAM (Upgradable to 8gb), and 1.2 Core 2 Duo CPU. I think the 753$ price for this laptop is good, but as we know it will increase here in Kuwait to more than 1000$ just because it is THINNER!

One more thing, the battery gives more than 9 hours .. AMAZING! (LINK)
