Save a life.

Dear Readers

We are undertaking a personal campaign to raise KD75, 000 to cover the costs of a bone marrow transplant and hospitalisation for Farah, an 11 year old Egyptian girl who was diagnosed with Leukaemia in 2005 and underwent chemotherapy treatment at NBK hospital with a very good chance of making a full recovery. Unfortunately she has had two relapses since then and a bone marrow transplant, which is not available in Kuwait, is now her only chance of survival. To achieve this I am looking for 150 people to each raise KD500 from their families and friends within one week. Monies should be delivered to Cheryl at the KACCH office (to ensure the donations are properly accounted for ) with name and contact details for receipts. I would be very grateful for your support and speedy response because although Farah is currently in remission she could relapse at any time so the window of opportunity is very small, and I believe she deserves this chance to live.

Thank you

Nexus One by HTC and Google

Nexus One, or Nek-thith one is coming to the market in 5 Jan 2010. The operating system is Android from Google, with 512mb RAM and ROM. It comes with a ball, like the one in the blackberries and Touch (a7) screen. In addition, 5MP Camera and 4gb memory card. I won’t say will come with WiFi and 3G .. etc, because a mobile without these things worth nothing.

The price is: 530US .. kinda expensive for a cheap mobile.

Review 0.5: Macbook Pro

Using Mac for the first time is hard, only for the first week. In fact, it is a great machine to graphics and making some videos. Yes, there is many programs that help you to use Mac. What I love in Mac, the way how they design this laptop, how they program an operating system to fit with anyone. I used ubtuntu, you can say they are the same, but you can’t enjoy the high resolution from the monitor. They care about all tiny details that do not let feel sorry to buy this laptop.

After 10 years of using PC, I have to say it: I love you both, MAC and PC. Its hard to leave PC because Mac still do not support Arabic language like PC. I’m using MAC for graphics and videos editing, and PC to for .. everything else.
